All four wings of an Achilles Morpho butterfly, Morpho achilles fagardii, are arranged beneath glass to showcase their luminous blue colour and dark natural borders. The butterfly’s body is not included. This piece measures 3.x5"
The glass is supported by a strong, hand-hammered stainless-steel swirl. The piece can hang from a shelf or stand upright on a stable shelf or tabletop.
Display indoors away from direct sunlight, as UV exposure can fade preserved butterfly wings.
The butterfly originated in Costa Rica and was obtained through a licensed supplier. Handcrafted in London, Ontario as one-of-a-kind preserved nature art.
